Some insight of how Jaktogo came to be

Jaktogo was created, or you may say invented, by wait for it… an ENGINEER. John Power worked in industrial insulation on projects all over the world, thus he was travelling a lot. Over the years he noticed how the air travel industry was changing and introducing “budget travelling” that turned out to be hitting the budget harder than advertised.

Since he was travelling light and had hectic schedules to follow, he was really trying to go through the whole airport experience as fast as possible. All of a sudden the carry-ons got weight restrictions and it did happen that he was forced to check in his bag – that meant a rather pricey FEE at the airport and having to wait for the luggage… This started happening over and over again and if Mr Power was prepared and made sure he would never do that again, what happened to all the occasional travelers. John witnessed many times how hard it was for them – some were not boarding because they couldn’t pay, had nowhere to leave their luggage, or if they boarded they had to leave behind some of their belongings – basically trashing them.

One day, after returning from another airport, having witnessed yet another batch of unfortunate budget travelers, he started playing around with ideas and a work overcoat, he created the Jaktogo… It took him some time to polish the idea, made few prototypes and then decided to share his idea with the world. After making the necessary to protect his brand and design he launched the Jaktogo site back in 2010.

The Jaktogo was continually developed and improved and with time 2 new members came into the Jaktogo family – Dresstogo and Ponchotogo. All 3 items of the Jaktogo family have the same purpose – to serve you in time of need, when you are faced with the unfair traps of the budget airline. All products are made of durable but light material and fold neatly when not in use, so they can always be at your disposition. When for example you find out you have 2 extra kilos in your carry on, instead of checking it in you can bring out your Jaktogo, Dresstogo or Ponchotogo and just put those jeans and T-shirts in it.

Being the adventurer that he is John has tried many ways in which he could use the Jaktogo and has stack up many experiences to share with our clients… We will share those with you along with many tips on travelling and choosing when and how to travel.

See you soon.
